WIFI Access for Students

Internet Connectivity in SWLA and Statewide
WiFi is now available for students and faculty in the northwest corner ground level of the parking garage (near the Recreational Sports Complex entrance at the corner of Vernon Drive and Gayle Street). Student or employee login credentials are required as no “guest” WiFi access is available. Students and faculty should bring their own devices. Restrictions on student-only parking in the garage are suspended for the remainder of the fall term and only students, faculty and contractors working on campus restoration are authorized to use the garage at this time. Access this location from the Common Street side of campus ONLY. Please use caution while driving in this area.
Computer and Campus Office Work Spaces for Students and Faculty
A limited number of work and study spaces will be available to students and faculty in offices and classrooms in the SEED Center. Faculty who need information about these workspaces should contact their department head or college dean. Students who wish to use these spaces in order to access WiFi and for class assignments should bring their own devices. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis during regular University business hours (M-Th, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Fridays, 7:30-11:30 a.m.) starting Friday, Sept. 18th when instruction resumes.

There is still a parish-wide curfew from 7pm to 6am. These campus WiFi spots will close at 6pm until the curfew is lifted or changed. Please remember to start closing files and projects in time to be off campus by 6pm until further notice.
